Privacy Policy

RemindDocs (“we”, “us”, “our”) helps you keep track of important documents and their dates. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address, collected when you register.
• Content you store: document names, dates, folders, and any photos you upload.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number.
• Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type and general activity within the app, used to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use your information

• To operate your account and store your documents and reminders.
• To send reminder emails ahead of the dates you configure.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To respond to support requests.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your documents to train any AI model.

Optional document scanning and assistant features

If you use the document photo-scan or AI assistant features, the relevant text or question is sent to our processing providers solely to return a result to you (for example, extracting text from a photo, or answering a question about your documents). This data is not used to train third-party models and is not retained by us longer than needed to provide the feature.

Your choice for document photos

When you scan or upload a document, you choose what happens to that photo once its details have been saved:

• Keep Photo: the image is stored securely, using the same access controls as the rest of your account, so you can view it again later.
• Delete Photo After OCR (recommended for privacy): the uploaded image is permanently deleted as soon as its information has been saved. We keep only the document name, type, expiration date, reminder schedule, and folder — the photo itself is not retained anywhere.

You can set a default for every new document from Settings → Privacy, and you can still change it for any individual document before saving it.

Where your data is stored

Your account data, documents, and photos are stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase), using access controls that ensure your data is only ever readable by your own account.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual documents and folders at any time from your dashboard. You can also permanently delete your entire account — including documents, photos, reminders, notification settings, and subscription data — at any time from your Account page, without needing to contact support.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can export a copy of your data at any time as a JSON file, and delete your account permanently, both from your Account page. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
